Brandon, thanks for meeting us. I hope to have the bumper on the Runner soon and will post pics once I do. Let me know if you head to the Ozarks for a day and we can stretch the legs of your new JT.
Something I knew I wanted but did't want to spend a bunch of money on was some sort of electrical management. I didn't want relays mounted everywhere and electrical runs all over the place. I wanted something clean, inexpensive and easy to troubleshoot. Also, I wanted the interior to remain...
From the pic it looks like the red power went to green and the black ground went to the white/black. I suggest checking it with a multi-meter or test light.
I pulled the original 12v outlet and cut the wires, soldered and heat shrink the connection. I did have to open the hole a little to make it fit, it's not and exact fit so it's a permanent change. It's nice being able to monitor the battery voltage although it is off a couple tenths of a voltage...
I picked up a 2019 4Runner TRD ORP as a replacement for my 2003 4Runner Limited last July and due to work and COVID I’m just getting started. My last build thread was for a 2002 4Runner Limited and I enjoy looking back at the changes and the trips that it allowed me. I’ll use this post as a...
@joshjunior if you want a day trip through the forest without off-roading, I suggest Hwy 7 north to Russellville then follow I-40 to White Oak and then Hwy 23 (Pig trail) North. This is a beautiful ride through the NF and has a few places to stop...
I do my planning in Google maps and save as a gpx for MotionX on the iPad. This is a link to my saved route in Google Maps. I have a Gaia account but haven't had a chance to try the route planning option in it yet.
That area would be great, I had a trip planned for that area but had to cancel so I haven't had the pleasure but hear great things. Heading west from Hot Springs on over to OK (just south of Mena) is the Trans-Ouachita trail which is what I planned to run.
Welcome @DaneFloyd, your pretty close to some good trails in the Ouachita National Forest. Once you have the rig reach out and I can send some routes that are close and great for a day run with the family. The area around Lake Winona is great for cutting your off-Roading teeth and getting to...
Thanks for the reply. I have had 4Runners forever and follow builds from a verity of generations, it surprised me when I hadn't heard of this. I would have expected it to be more widely talked about considering the number of 4Runners on the road these days. I have the Nitto Terra Grappler that...
I'm curious if anyone here with a 5th gen 4Runner is experiencing the steering wheel shake that happens around 60mph. I just bought a 2019 TRD ORP and had it in the shop (two weeks later) to see what they can do. Looking around the web it looks like this is a "THING", and a large number of...
Traded in the 2004 V8 Limited with 180,000 for a 2019 TRD Off Road Premium. This will be my first new vehicle in 30 years, looking forward to mod'ing something new with better aftermarket support.
It will be a slow build but I don't plan on getting rid of her anytime soon. Any input on a temp...
Hey @BROFESSOR, this is a great idea. The family and I frequent the Ouachitas often and it would be great to give back a little by cleaning it up. I have this on the calendar and as long as work doesn't interfere I plan on being there.
