Got the semi custom long arms installed today. Pinion angle is at •6 degrees. May have to play with that a bit. I haven’t driven it yet but around the block, need to round up some longer UCA bolts diff side. Definitely no turning back from cutting the body side upper control arm mounts...
Got some forward progress with the front long arms today. Rubicon Express TJ long arms with 2” cut out of them and welded the bung back in.
cutting the diff side “eye” off and welding in a metalcloak “builder kit” duroflex joint on. (I’m fortunate to be good friends with the...
For weeks.......no....months! I have maybe put 15 miles on the ‘ol WJ. I haven’t given up on her. Just haven’t had any time to go camping with my new job keeping me extra busy.
I have done a couple upgrades in the last few months though. I sold the RTT and opted to use the awning and...
I just found this thread searching full size Ram truck overland builds. The places you guys took the ramz was awesome. As I kept scrolling from RTT weekenders to full time RV 5th life is absolutely 100% my wife and I dream that we hope to make happens once our last kid at home is self...
I don’t suppose you happen to take progress shots of the bumper build? I really like it, simple and clean and I like that you were able to keep the factory cover on.
I worked for FCA, Daimler, Chrysler or whoever happens to own them this year for 25 years as a auto technician. I recently left the dealer world just over a year ago (and have never been happier in my career than I am now!!). Anyhow. I’ve never been on this side of the spectrum being only a...
This may or may not be overland related. But because there is so many makes and model vehicle ownership here, should have some good feedback
What auto maker has given you outstanding customer service? Mostly beyond the dealership experience. Have you had to make contact with corporate to...
Is that the sport with max tow package? I’m hopefully going to be in the market for a gladiator soon. I definitely don’t want to pay the HUGE Rubicon price. The overlander model is....say...cute with bells and whistles but too much junk screwed onto it that I would most likely be upgrading...
I put 4” lift springs on mine last week and an adjustable track bar. Took it for a drive and now have the dreaded death wobble. I’ll be doing adjustable control arms as well very soon lol
Bringing an old thread up to hopefully get pictures of your swing out tire carrier. The pics in this thread unfortunately have the photo bucket signature going across all of them and difficult to get a idea of how you built it. From the write up and how you kept the stock bumper cover on I’m...
I picked up the same mounts as you have.
My problem is I’m 6’4”, like Motoboss said, the awning room require awning height to be 6ft to fully extend the walls. It’s all good, only disappointment is the room piping edge tearing the material.
Hard to say. I’ve had customers state all kinds of scenarios when the engine “started to run crappy”
Dead cold start up
At a stoplight
Engine overheated then misfired (dropped seat, bent valves)
I’m also wondering if something accidentally fell down into the cylinder? Was the spark plug...
I just gotta convince the spousel unit why I need to spend more money lol.
I’ll contact the seller through amazon where I bought it first To try and remedy the tear problem. I’ll definitely be happy with this setup for all the extra room for activities
