There are many primitive camping spots all along Old NC 105. They are first come first serve and free.
I thought it was pretty tame but you definitely need some ground clearance as there are some deep washouts along the road.
I think that's the same guy. I might be wrong on the time I just know he said it was a long drive. He's one of the ones that told me about overland bound. I honestly didn't know it was a monthly meeting or I would of been back again.
We could do monthly to bs and plan for future events. Then trail rides, camping etc can be in addition to monthly ones?
Would be nice to get a somewhat consistent meet up going. Possibly change the location of the monthly meetup so more people can attend. I drove an hour to the last one but...
Found some more info on it but not much. Seems it's mostly an ATV park and for mud boggers. Found an old post from 2016 that said they were cutting some 4x4 trails but not sure if those were for ATVs or trucks.
Wife and I weren't able to make the expo this year. We are drooling over the youtube vids of all the rigs and trailers though. Man some of those are pricey.
Going to try and make it out to Richland Rd or Brown Mountain trail for sure but prob won't have time till after the holidays. Wife wants...
Wish I could make it on the 8th but already have plans that weekend. I have personally only been to Uwharrie. How does Richland Rd and Brown mountain compare?
