This is great advice for what to add to your rig, however I would interject that rock sliders are one of my top 3 priorities when I build. Nothing is worse than a damaged rocker panel...just my $.02
Headed to Moab in March for a week then back in April for the TLCA Cruise Moab event. From the Cruise Moab event the 80 Series will head to Denver where it will be put in storage til the high country passes open up for the summer overland season. Hoping to make 4-6 trips this summer/fall.
I found a great hack in YouTube to remove grease from the undercarriage. I blew a seal and spewed grease all over the undercarriage and used easy off oven cleaner to break it down. Worked great.
After spending the summer in Colorado I brought FAT AMY back home to start the next round of mods to get her ready for Moab in March and April, then she will be driven back over to Colorado for the summer months. After last summers experience and getting some ideas on what I needed/want to make...
Early July I drove the 80 to Colorado to take the family on vacation in the high country...loved it so much that I left the truck in Denver and have been back 3 times this summer, headed back again Thurs to try and get in a late weekend...Once the snow shuts down the trail in Colo will be headed...
Thanks for the feedback-- Appreciate it--It can be so easy to psych yourself out from youtube. My main apprehension is that I will be traveling with my family and do not have any other rigs with me--Just want to make sure I am not missing anything that is not doable once I enter the trail...
Thanks for the input--This feedback helps as this is my thoughts from watching the youtube videos, lots of hype but if you are patient and know how to use your vehicle it doesn't look all that hard, I appreciate the feedback and it is on my list for next weekend.
