We ended up spending a night at Toroweap. It was beautiful and quiet. No one within miles. We were going to go down to the river at Whitmore but decided to go up to Zion and Bryce instead. Now that the North Rim is open, you have a lot of other choices for overlooks in that direction.

yes, the right thing to do is to cancel my trip and sit tight. I doubt this will get any better before summer or fall. From what I see so far in the Bay Area, people are not taking this seriously enough. I Think the National Guard will be the next move.
