Not sure how many people are following, but for those who are I have bad news. This little rig isn't going anywhere for a while. I found out I was losing coolant a couple weeks ago and with further investigation figured out the head gasket is on it's way out. Parts are inbound but with the...
Had a productive day yesterday doing some much needed work. By the end of the evening, this little rig ended up with a new center link, inner and outer tie rod ends, ball joints, brake pads and rotors. ALignment is scheduled for Tuesday and we'll see how much better she handles.
And I almost...
SOLD
Complete Nissan Frontier m226 rear axle with 3.13 gears and factory e-locker off an '05 Nismo 2WD Frontier. Includes lube locker gasket (installed), 4 bolt pinion mate, ADO diff breather (installed), and the factory wiring harness with switch. Selling because I didn't do my research and my...
Oh absolutely! I found it for a good deal and it made it so I didn't have to modify the carrier too much further for a smaller winch (most on the weight range I need are for quads lol)
Been busy since the Holidays, but there has been progress! My buddy @Forte brought me a winch carrier for a small truck/ SUV from Nebraska when he moved back to Arizona. It was the perfect size for this little vic so incorporating it into the build was a must. After some material gathering and...
I have some X-Bull traction boards. They are definitely not a low-profile when stacked but its not terrible. First time I used them I exploded one, but I blame that largely on the sub-freezing temps I was in making the plastic brittle. X-Bull replaced them no questions asked so I really have no...
Those CR-Vs always catch my eye, they're super neat when built out a little bit (don't tell my friends I said that) . As far as space, I've been spoiled for so long using a pickup that determining what's essential and what isn't is going to be fun. The current plan is taking out the back seat...
Maiden voyage! This is the first time on dirt since I've had this little rig so nothing too difficuly (read: easy), just enough to stretch her legs and get a feel for how everything behaves off pavement. No 4x4 necessary this time around, which is fine since I was out with my buddy in his 2010...
Quick update. Got the snorkel installed today! Despite having a template that was out of spec, the install went quite smooth; smoother than my Frontier and that had a template that was spot on. I guess it's time to take her for a dip and see what happens! Don't mind the bumper, that's a work in...
Spotted member #9723 today. He showed up while I was snapping the pic so we were able to chat for a brief second before getting back to business. Sick rig SFC, sorry I couldn't talk more!
It's FINALLY together and on the road . The kit from LRO didn't have the parts available anytime soon so I ended up canceling the order. Thankfully, the kit I originally wanted came back in stock and was 20% off for a month long Black Friday sale. Best part? It was at my door in a week. Thanks...
Haven't given an update in a while, things have been slow going (just like the 1.6L in this :tongueclosed:). The lift kit from Low Range Offroad has been pushed back to at least Oct 30 due to backordered parts so I'm looking for small jobs to do. All four CV boots have been replaced, the...
