Portland, Bend, Oregon Coast in March

I haven't done the 126 so I cannot say for sure...just know that the 38 was a beautiful drive. It looks a lot shorter to take the 126 from Bend so going down to the 38 would be quite a bit out of the way....I wouldn't say it is worth the extra mileage. Check out Wanderlust Tours in Bend. I did...

Portland, Bend, Oregon Coast in March

My avatar pic is in Florence and it is an awesome city to drive through. If you take the 38 from inland to the coast, there is a cool Elk sighting spot (I think it is Elk). It is really cool and you are nearly guaranteed to see them. Reedsport is where you pop out and that is neat as well. Depoe...

I use the RAM single suction cup mount with the X-clip thing for the mini. no complaints except for right turns on the street...took a little while to get used to that.

WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rock Sliders

It’s not the cleanest pic...frozen mud at the campsite. They’re heavy duty, fit is perfect, and work well for accessing the roof.

Trying bread in the Dutch Oven

After the first run, there are some things it does well and some things I have to work on. 1. Tried biscuits but burned the bottom. Still cooked all the way through so trimmed off the bottom and through some gravy on it. 2. Grilling lamb for gyros on the grill side turned out very good. Nice...

    Which tablet or Laptop?

I was an Apple holdout for a long time. Then I went to an iPhone, lost my pro surface 4 and switched to a MacBook Pro, and just yesterday, switched to an iPad mini 2 for navigation and music storage. I can’t vouch for Gaia on an iPad but from the countless YouTube videos, it’ll do what I need it...

Trying bread in the Dutch Oven

Did this for the first time on our last trip. Made cornbread and biscuits and gravy. It’s hard to get the heat right but once you do...damn, it’s good

Camp music? Turn that up a few!!

Classic rock, arena rock, rock, and country when camping. We keep it low at night out of respect for others and to hear what might be walking by.
