    Old thread, but I'm adding my vote for the "GERMAN" style (made in Croatia I think) large mouth metal Jerry cans. The only drawbacks are they are heavier, the spouts can be difficult to find (so it's best to order a couple of them), and the spouts are *not* compatible with the NATO spouts that...

    One more thing: CTEK devices are only rated to IP44. My entire setup is with marine grade components, and most devices are IP67 or greater. I would not put anything mission critical in my setup that was only splash resistant.
