I am no longer using these straps. I changed my roof rack and gave the cases to my son.
To get to either case, you only have to undo two buckles and they stay in place on the roof. Very secure when everything is tightened down.
If anyone is interested in buying it, let me know.
The amount...
I'm coming from the coast (Torrance), I may catch up to you, it sounds like you're leaving pretty early, I'll keep my radio on.
I'll be in a Green Tundra with a FourWheel Camper.

With only this much information, it's hard to condemn the engine. Your observation of white smoke suggests a head gasket, but runs hot at idle then normal when driving might mean a warped or cracked head, which likely means it was overheated at one time.
Head gasket issues on the 2UZ are...
Good points and questions in the vid @Michael .
Having seen more than several concept vehicles that people got excited about, I can say with some confidence that this is not what will come to market. This is the sexed-up version of what might actually be produceable. Which tells me that this is...
Best advice and the best place to start... that was my first thought, bad ground somewhere, they tend to create the demons you're describing.
And not that it's connected or not. Remove it, clean it and then firmly re-attach it. Then spray it lightly with some corrosion inhibitor.
Dan.
Without creating a checklist, I would say to take a similar approach when buying a used car. Sorry, this rambles a bit.
What is the 'brand' of trailer, do they have a good reputation?
What is the construction - if it has been used in an off-road environment, was it designed and built for...
That's actually a really nice option for a pop-up.
How do you like the space in the back seat of the cab? Comfortable and room enough for small adults?
Welcome to OB! Great forum, great people.
I worked for the lodge company at Colter Bay for a summer, it get's in your blood. I really like that area, so much to explore.
Dan.
FWC are very expensive, and from what I saw at OEX East this year, their quality has gone down some. I noticed sharp, unfinished edges on door edging, seemed like they'd gotten... cheaper.
I saw an interesting player in this market called Snap Outfitters. Home - Snap Outfitters
They're located...
My current setup.

Haha, good question - nothing in common almost at all!
I did own a 1996 LR Disco for a brief period in my life, I was weak! No, really I like that car, I just found the worst possible example on the planet, and i couldn't solve the #4 cylinder misfire issue on it. If we're ever around a...
I'll look at it and tell you what I have, maybe you can tell from that if it applies to your truck. There were not many changes in those years, until there were A LOT of changes! I'll get back to you.
I may have a repair manual of some kind for this truck, is it worth my time to look for it? (would you be interested in it?)
I probably also have and engine ECU but I'm not sure about parts interchange.
Again, if you're interested, I'll dig them up, I'd like to get them out of the garage.
