Unfortunately I am still in winter mode with the hard top but what I did was get the largest diameter pipe insulation my local hardware store had, either 3/4 or 1in. Then I zip tied it to the bottom of every bar that was running perpendicular to the driving direction of the jeep. The key spot I...
I wanna say m7 but its been awhile. It should be labeled on the diagram and looking at it it will have 3 "holes" as opposed to most others because it can be inserted in two different positions
First huge thank you for creating this route!
Second, quick question for those who have are experienced with this run. Is there an entry point near Trenton or alternatively somewhere just north of Wharton? This spring I would like to explore this route but will most likely be doing so in day...
Which ferry service is opening for the season on Feb 6th? and to which island? I group of friends and I have been trying to plan a trip to one of the primitive islands( Portsmouth, or Cape Lookout) for March 1st and we have been having a hard time finding a ferry that was open. If you pull...
Before buying my fridge I also was very unsure about sizes. Up front I ended up with a 50qt which is likely bigger then I will need in 90% of situations but the price jump from a 35-40 qt to 50 was not that significant so I opted on the side of more room. I found it helpful to use some of the...
Thanks I appreciate it, interested to see the end result. I never thought of doing two I wonder if I could stuff two in a single battery box. Off to amazon I go...
I found that the pipe insulation was the best solution. My definition of best is least noise. Pipe insulation is black so you cant really see it. I used that in addition to wedging something in between the role bar and the side windows. I had a lot of slapping and buffeting from the sides as...
OP if you can post up how you daisy chain the yeti to an additional battery. I am doing exactly what you are describing to power my fridge (a Dometic CFX50) and would like to double my yetis capacity. Reading online I know it can be done but haven't found much info on how people have gone about it.
Fiancé and I took our RTT there for its first trip last spring. We snagged a spot right on the water. We only stayed for one night as it was an impromptu trip but I would recommend it if your looking to be near the water.
Did you completely replace the stick mattress with the 3in memory foam or use it in addition to? I ask because I have the same tent and with a 3in memory foam plus the stock mattress the tent is very difficult to close. I was concerned I might damage it by forcing it. I am new to rtt’s so maybe...
The only complaints I have read are from people who don’t have them yet. I’ve read few complaints from owners outside of wind noise which applies equally to all these racks. I’m not saying the waiting isn’t absurd but I don’t see their sales going anywhere but up.
I agree so far I love the Goal Zero Yeti. I’m testing mine with my fridge and it’s been going for 24hrs so far looks like I’m going to get about 30 out of it. Thinking I’m going to either add a second battery or add solar to extent it alittle longer. Would love to see pics of your setup.
Thanks for posting up the video just put in an order on amazon for the stuff to give it a go. I already have an anderson to 8mm cord I'm not using so I am going to use that instead of the 4.7 to 8mm. We will see how it turns out.
Ahh alright I’ll have to check mine later I was under the impression mine was always hot however the yeti sensed the voltage drop when the alternator was off and wouldn’t draw any power. You certainly could be right I’m new to th Jeeps electronic nuances.

How do you have you solar...
