I remember one of the 4XOverland videos on YouTube talked about this. I think he used wet sponges to seal any gaps in the bed rails.
It was this video:
I've wanted a VehiCROSS since they came out, they always looked so cool.
I'd imagine hunting down body parts for it might be a little difficult though since they are pretty rare, I think only 4,000 were sold in the states. If I recall though I think underneath it was basically a Trooper so...
As far as time goes, you could probably take the Left Fork Hobble Creek Rd once we are at the end of Squaw Peak and head back into Springville.
Or is that where we are going to end at? I'm not super familiar with the area.
I have a long bed Tacoma, mainly because that's the only thing they had on the lot when I went to buy it, but also because I wanted to be able to sleep in it. I'm 5'10" so I fit back there no problem. It's also nice to have the long bed when I need to go to Home Depot and pick up lumber or when...
I can't spend the night either, but should be a fun day never-the-less.
And just to check, is this where we are meeting? I looked at the Utah Valley website.
I have Sirius XM (wouldn't own a vehicle without it) and Spotify Premium. I think I have a fairly eclectic taste in music (which is to say I'll listen to nearly anything).
Most of the time I'm listening to 90's grunge rock or old school hip-hop. It's also fun to jam through my "high school...
Keep paper maps in your vehicle. GPS is great, but only when the technology works or has power. I ended up on a trail without a paper map and I was relying solely on my GPS, but my charger hadn't been charging my phone and it eventually ran out of juice leaving me more or less blind to where I...
The weather was far different a couple weeks ago than it is today (it's snow in SLC today), it was in the 80's and not a cloud in the sky, I also had Friday the 5th off because of my birthday, so I figured I'd head out for some exploring to the states north of me. This was roughly the route I...
I have a Morimoto light bar on my roof rack and the thing is stupidly bright, but it works really well on back roads and has saved me from hitting a deer before. I also have KC FlexPods on my A-pillar which work really well as ditch lights. I think it's the right amount of light for my needs...
If you have OEM tires on your Tacoma, then tires should be your first mod. I swapped mine out with less than 800 miles on my truck because they were terrible in the snow. Getting dedicated winter tires wasn't something I was interested in so I opted for the snowflake rated KO2's.
I have a Canon T1i that I use from time to time, but it's becoming rarer that I take it on a trip with me. Worrying about dirt, the bulkiness of the bag, and my lack of any real skill keeps me from using it as much as I'd like too. Maybe one day I'll figure it out.
I mostly use my Nexus 5x for...
