Went up to Black Canyon lake starting last weekend for a couple of days. Got cold enough for hail. Fishing was good as well, caught 5 total in a day and released 2. Saw a lot of wild horses. Think they were driven north due to the fire in the Superstitions.

Wild Horses feeding on all the grass that has grown in an area hit hard by fires a few years ago.

I was just north if granite reef dam for sunrise and moved further east throughout the morning.

OzTent owners: Not sure if anyone has or used the ridge spreaders for the awning but this price is hard to beat. I ordered 2. Hopefully it’s not a scam. OzTent Telescopic Ridge/Spreader Bar is only $11.99 US on Amazon. Can’t seem to share link so you’ll have to just hunt.

Out of curiosity anyone in the US order or thinking of ordering a replacement bag from Drifta.com.au for their OzTent?

Some updates: Brake upgrade done, Suspension Updated, It’s now too hot for work, time to head north to cooler weather!

I’m going to say it was most likely started by someone shooting out there. That’s how this fire started off the trail in April...

it’s nice and cool camping down in the canyon along the black river. A bit of a drive so staying several days would be recommended. I don’t think that’s much of a problem with this crowd [emoji6] We had to use a heater one night in the middle of July.
