Like Kent Rollins says “you don’t Get full on fancy”! Taters, Rice, meat, veggies and a variety of seasonings. Grillin, or frying, or foil wrapped and tossed in the fire, it’s all good. The point is you get out where you need to be.
Yeah I’ve been a Spam man for years. It lasts forever. Fried, straight out of the can etc. I even have the Hawaiian cookbook on Spam. But the true believers are the Hawaiian’s. Google it, the pink meat saved their butts during WWII. You ever been to the islands? best not to talk smack about...
NAUI certified. Been diving the mid-Atlantic and Carolina coasts (wreck diving).
Mainly spear fishing during the day and hunting bugs at night. It’s been a few years since my last dive. if anyone wants to meet up and dive Dutch Springs I’m up for it. Time to get back in the suit. Iceland is...
You’ll seem to know these parks well enough. Anyone planning a long weekend trip in the next few months? I’m new to wheeling, and need to learn a bit, but looks like good times.
Late response, but this simple trick will increase (take a 10F to a -5 F and so on) the rating of your sleeping bag in a snap. And if a Bear gets you you’re good to go! Used them back in my military days. A good ole body bag. Made of polypropylene it’ll keep you toasty and water stays out...
I’m in the same spot. I’ve picked up the Ham technician license book. I found a really good YouTube channel. Search W4EEY. Ham class online. It really is worth your time.
Good luck.

Just found your forum, I live in De and you guys are a lot closer than some trips I've seen, NY etc. I'm new to 4wheeling/over landing and itching to get on some dirt/mud, but nothing to extreme. The pics look great. I've done the beaches for awhile, but need some good ole trails. Please...
Anyone around the mid-Atlantic region going to this meet and greet? Let me know. Also, I don’t see anywhere on the campground website, anything about dog friendly. Anyone ?
if you ever go again please notify me. This week doesn’t work for me. I’ve been trying to get up there, but have never been able to get together with someone else, either they’re working etc. I live in Delaware. Apparently you need two vehicles to drive the trails, makes sense, as I do not...
Well said Northernlady. As adults there shouldn’t be topics on overlanding that couldn’t be discussed in an open forum. Your point on becoming alienated is valid. Let’s keep it simple and keep the open dialogue. IMHO
