I had to cancel my White Rim trip last minute, so Taylor campsite should be open for Sept 9th and White Crack for Sept 10th. Not sure how long it will take for them to show up as available on the recreation.gov site. Hopefully someone will be able to snag them and have a nice weekend trip!
I just had to cancel my reservations for Taylor on Sept 3rd and White Crack on Sept 4th. I'm not sure when they will show back up on Recreation.gov, but they are open for someone else to grab.
Well, it seems like it is time for another build thread. So of you might remember my Jeep Wrangler build or my Jeep Gladiator build, this time around is a full size truck in the form of a 2022 RAM Power Wagon. The decision to go to a full size truck was based on a couple of things. First...
I'm just checking out the app for the first time. When I open the map and click on the current location icon, right above the filter icon, it prompts me to upgrade to a paid level. Is that working as designed?
I am selling three Toyo Open Country A/T II P265/70r17 tires the came off of my off road trailer. One tire (the spare) is brand new and still has the factory sticker on it. The other two have less than 200 miles on them (I swapped to 35s shortly after buying the trailer).
As you can see...
This 37x13.5R17 Toyo Open Country RT was the spare on my Jeep JKU and has less than 100 miles. As you can see for the photos it still has a barcode sticker on it, the vent spews (little rubber hairs) on the side and the base of the vent spews on the tread blocks. Current retail price on...

I am selling my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with automatic transmission and 23,500 (I’m still daily driving it) miles on it. It has been my daily driver and...
I'm looking for a GMRS setup that would allow me to have a vehicle mounted unit for more power/range and a handheld unit my kid could take with him to go explore around our campsites. I'd also like it if there as a location/find feature like the Garmin Rino radios have. That way if something...
Hello Northern Neighbors,
I'm planning a month long trip from the US (entering Canada from Montana) all the way up to Tuktoyaktuk in the NWT. I have been trying to find some information on dispersed camping in Canada, but there does not seem to be much info out there on it. Everything seems...
Living in Colorado has a lot of advantages when it comes to the great outdoors. Having clear skies in the evening during the summer months is not one of them. This is really only an issue if you like to do astrophotography and even more so if you want to take some photos of the NEOWISE comet...
I'm looking at a last minute 3 day run through NM next week and would like to checkout White Sands NP. Anyone know of a decent spot to disperse camp near there?
I recently had the opportunity to drive down to New Mexico in the middle of the week to check out the Very Large Array (VLA). Some of you might remember seeing the VLA in movie Contact staring Jodi Foster. For those of you that do not know what the VLA is, here is the description from the...
I'm looking at sort of an impromptu trip down into NM next week and was thinking about camping in the San Lorenzo Canyon either Tuesday or Wednesday night. Has anyone been down there recently or know what the conditons are? Are you still able to camp (I'll be in my Jeep with the RTT) down in...
Just a heads up for anyone planning on a trip to the south west portion of CO that the San Juan NF is closed. This has been posted in couple of other threads, but I wanted to get a broader announcement out there for everyone.
Do any of you do anything to remember or track the trips and trails you have been on?
For the last couple of years I have been making "trail plates" for the Jeep trails that I went on. I'd make one for my son (he had a large collection of them stuck to his bunk beds) as well as one for each...
This was my first overlanding trip ( you can find my planning thread here: Overland Alzheimer's: Death Valley) and so my first trip report. Hopefully I cover everything in just the right amount of detail. If you have any questions about the trip or rig/gear, please just ask. The CO to NV...
I'm wondering what everyone's system is for recording Tracks and using them later. Do you start recording when you leave home and let it run until you return? Do you pause it overnight or make each day it's own track? Each trail or excursion?
On my recent Death Valley trip, I turned it on...
How many of you have trailers that that extra hitch receivers so that you can attach other accessories to the trailer? Anyone attaching anything besides a bike rack?
As I contemplate my trailer needs, I'm wondering how useful/valuable these are. In our current style of overlanding/camping, I...
