Just me and a buddy. I have done Fins a few times, it's a lot of fun. We will get in late morning on the 13th and just have to find a spot to setup camp before hitting the trail.
I was bummed to not be able to make this one and it looks like a great time was had.
I am headed out to Moab May 13-17th for some camping, MTN biking, and trail runs- Fins, Hell's Revenge, Poison Spider, Seven Mile Rim are on the list. If anyone happens to be around and wants to run a trail...
Thanks for organizing Gary, and great to meet everyone that made it out. I am looking forward to some trail runs and Utah trips once spring is here for real.
If the work will build skills which may come in handy on the trail I will generally tackle it myself, along with basic maintenance work, all of which I enjoy. Lots of good memories wrenching with my dad growing up.
I did take it into the experts recently for a ring and pinion regear as that...
4.56 gears, which besides the obvious off road benefits should improve towing our trailer over mountain passes, rear elocker, and some grab handles to make getting in a little easier! Ready for another Moab trip asap
Thanks for sharing...while I pack first aid and communications gear into the wilderness to be prepared; a collision with another vehicle has not been top of mind.
Sorry to say my work travel plans have changed and I need to fly out sooner than expected so will not be able to make it today. I was really looking forward to it and hope to make the next one.
Nice work, you have given me some ideas for our Hiker. What brand of lights do you have on the side by the window? I have been using cheap solar stick on led lights and they keep failing so I need a better solution. Thanks
I primarily shoot wildlife and landscapes with a Nikon D500 w/ 16-80 f2.8-4, 70-200 f4, and 200-500 f5.6.
When packing light, or one of my kids want to shoot, I bring an Olympus EM5 w/ 14-150, fisheye, 20, and 45
How hard is it to make the update? The entrances of the two buildings are within 20 yards of each other...I think it will become obvious we are in the restaurant if anyone gets turned away at the brewing facility, and if we meet at that back parking area we can clarify then as well.
Gary, I have been to this BB location quite a few times and I am pretty sure the actual brewery facility (red building) is for tours and private events. The restaurant is right next door, has lots of seating, and a big bar area.
Also, if you want a place to park where we can check out rigs...
My family is also so so on off roading but all really enjoyed Yankee Boy Basin. There is a scenic hike from the top that overlooks a couple alpine lakes...it was not the easiest hike but worth it if hiking is your thing
Colorado sunrise from 13,000ft
PS...I notice that sometimes when I upload a photo it allows it to display in the post and other times not. Anything I am doing wrong that keeps them from showing up in the post vs like this where you see nothing unless you click on it?
