US Northwest Ghost River PLUZ (and thank you)

Man…. I’m going to miss this one too. I’m going to Northwest Overland Rally that weekend. Sounds like fun, though.

US Northwest Inland Northwest Adventure Group- Eastern WA/North Idaho/Western Montana

Beautiful! I love the Oregon Coast. I’m sorry I had to miss it. My truck was in the shop getting stupid things the previous owner did incorrectly put right.

    Tire Shop Recommendations

I’m going to one next week. Discount Tire on the north end of town put one of my uni directional tires on backwards on my Mini. Hopefully, I’ll have a better experience with Les Schwab.

    Tire Shop Recommendations

Hi All, I'm doing some upgrades to my 3rd gen Taco and I need a recommendation. I've just purchased some Method Bead Grip wheels. I need to have my current tires (+1 new one for the spare) mounted on my 5 new wheels. I don't want to trust the teenagers at Discount Tire with this. Does anyone...

    Could be Worse...

I can’t imagine getting a vehicle that large into the air. That must have been quite the spectacle!

    Could be Worse...

Oh, there’s definitely more work coming. I need new wheels and new UPC’s as those weren’t upgraded when the previous owner lifted it.

US Northwest Eastern Washington/North Idaho Area Camping Expo Meet-up

That’s true. My setup is very basic, but if folks wanted to look I can pack it up for camping.

US Northwest Eastern Washington/North Idaho Area Camping Expo Meet-up

I’ll come, but I’m still early in the process so I’m not a good example. Sounds like fun!

    Could be Worse...

Yep, I fully agree. This was totally user error and something I never want to repeat. Practice makes perfect, as the saying goes.

    Could be Worse...

Will be next week. New set of rear shocks going on. Everything else is hunky dory.

US Northwest Inland Northwest Adventure Group— Trip To Astoria Oregon

I wish I could go to this! I love Astoria and the Oregon coast. Alas, I cannot take the time from work. Have fun and I can't wait to see a trip report.

    Dog Access to Lifted rigs

My 3 year old has steps too - those same ones, as a matter of fact. It's better for the dog's joints, particularly getting out. He's a little unsure about getting in as well, so doggy steps it was. I think it's a great idea and solution.

    Could be Worse...

So, I'm new at off roading. I like to think of myself as a rather conservative driver - I like no drama, no surprises, get there in one piece with no damage or excitement. Well... I did my first moderately technical climb last weekend. I had an excellent spotter. I had a truck that was fully...

    Amazing Off Road Training

I attended a two-day off road training course this past weekend held by Backroad 4WD. They're an I4WTA Certified Training organization based in Washington State. It was an intensive class, covering the basics of how 4WD and AWD vehicles work, followed by getting down on the ground and...

    Greetings from Bend!

And the beer. Bend has a great microbrew scene. Sunriver is lovely. I had friends that used to visit every summer.

Very Excited About This Mod - Overland Tailor Tune (OTT)

When I purchased my first Tacoma a couple of months ago I had been driving a Mini Paceman for about 10 years. I obviously did not expect them to feel the same - they're pretty much polar opposites! - but I was surprised at the amount of accelerator lag and gear hunting I was experiencing. After...
