@Terry Pickens , it took forever to get my tires (BFG was really slow on their shipment) but I finally have them. Five BFG KO2s, 225/65r17, and I finally have the answer.
When fully deflated, this tire does not fit in the spare tire compartment. :/ I made it work, mostly, but it's kind of...
yeah. I was trying to avoid spamming up krazybastard's build thread too much but my reasoning is that I'm also about to get new tires/wheels, which would also require an alignment. So I'm considering trying to do it alone, finding/paying someone who can help, or finding a garage that can do it...
yea, the question is just which shop. :) I've chatted with a couple of people and there seems to be a little reluctance to install it if the kit isn't fabricated by themselves and the nearest ADF place is down in LA (Crestline). That being said, it's tempting to just try and do it myself, seems...

- installed the 3-part primitive skids
- ordered a 1.5/1.75 ADF kit (like 3.5 weeks ago, I guess he's still building it...)
-...
Hi krzyboy, thanks for posting all of this stuff! I love the work you've done so far.
I bought a 2014 XT last year and I've been searching the internet far and wide to find info on doing more or less what you've already done. Like you, I go backpacking pretty regularly and often end up on fire...
