Sadly I cant make the trip even though this is basically in my back yard. I might try to see if I can pop in to Kootenai Falls on Sunday, it isn't to far from me.
Well, things lined up for me to be able to go so far. It looks like I will end up buying tickets at the gate, but I will look for the group, and perhaps do some handshaking.
It has been 10 years since I have been able to make it to a rally, but with my current situation, it is going to be...
Phew, sitting across the river, essentially, at Rasar State Park, this (Thanksgiving) weekend, if the camp out is going to be the same weather, bring the cold gear, and firewood, it's going to get chilly.
I think the channel (CB5) is mentioned on the rally point page. It also looks like 146.46 is the accepted ham 2 meter simplex frequency, found this in the bootcamp page. And for reference, the first post from that page.

I have chased some SOTA, haven't activated yet. I am playing...
I use harbor freight flag poles. The pipe that comes with them, and some exhaust clamps/u-bolts, made some fairly handy mounts, that allow the poles to be removed and stored.

New member currently in Everett WA.
At this point I DD/Overland in a 2004 Toyota Tacoma DC, and a home built Teardrop trailer.
The Tacoma is in the process of getting some upgrades, thanks to an incident where I got rear ended in traffic. It is going to end up with a flat bed, with some...
