My wife and I have been living out of our Ursa Minor J30 for about a year now. We just finished our review and buyers guide, which goes into detail about the options from their website!
We hope it's useful!

Awesome highlight of how overlanding manifests itself differently for different people! Most people we meet on the road tell us "do it while your young and dont have kids", so I love hearing of full-time overlanders who do it with a family. They don't understand how this can be a lifestyle, not...
I’m thinking of making the map on my website a product for Overlanders to use. Would you/anyone else be interested in a way to automatically keep track of their checkins, routes, maybe even Instagram photos on a map? Similar to YouMeAndTheJeep.com/map
The delay is done through code by filtering...
Yeah, I agree, I'm working on sourcing a tank that is only 6" tall, 10" wide and ~40" long, this will make it the same height as the gas tank, so it would be nice and snug under the Jeep. Ontop of that, we'll add a 1/4" steel skid plate... Then we wouldnt have to worry at all!?
The stock bumper is great! We're going to be replacing ours with a rear tire carrier so we can hold some extra gas & weight, thus we didn't want to invest too heavily in the bumper system, but for those that are sticking with stock bumper, this is an awesome solution! Thanks for sharing, it...
We're defiantly looking to lift it up to be 'almost' flush with the gas tank. We don't know how to weld, or else we could create some custom brackets which would bring it 1-2" closer to the floor of the Jeep. We're also going to place a large skid plate under it incase anything does try and...
Hello! I wanted to share my DIY Onboard Water System. I'd love any tips, feedback or thoughts on things you would change or improve! I originally posted this at our blog, You Me & The Jeep, and you can find a materials list there as well.
We were so inspired by Dan Grec from The Road Chose Me...
I’m working on that ;) soon you’ll be able to drop that everywhere and people will stare at you in awe as you used the sacred ‘Wes Vance’ discount...

I'd Love to! But, making trap doors reliably are challenging, the lips required are tough, you'd actually need to get an additional piece of wood to do something like GooseGear did for their platforms... Since I dont access the rear that much, it hasnt yet been an issue, but I'll update you if I...
Awesome! If you end up paying for the 'pro' version, message them in app and tell them Wes Vance referred you and they will give you a discount (I've been with the company for a while, its come a LONG way).
I keep a live map that pulls from my Jeep using "Automatic" and their API. I display my routes on a map on my website. Similarly, I 'checkin' to places I like using Foursquare/Swarm and grab that data and display it on a map. I delay the map by 3-5 days to protect my privacy, but I love having...
In this case, the data is actually stored through a web-application so its not dependent on any single device (Its "in the cloud" O.o). I'm not here to specifically disengage from the electronic hustle, as I live and work (code) in the Jeep, but I do agree with the three ring methodology as...
I live full time in my Jeep, so for me it's more about just keeping a track record of any 'symptoms' or issues the Jeeps having :) I haven't tried to re-sell my Jeep, but that would be cool if keeping a journal nets a higher re-sale value.
I'm using an app called "Notion", I use it for literally... everything in my life :P Its awesome for Notes, Wiki, Project Management, etc. This same log could be done in Excel/Numbers or any other structured database software. :)
Yeah! Taking notes in your phone isn't bad either, better than having nothing. As my Jeep gets older, having a record of everything that has been touched really helps with troubleshooting new issues and finding fixes. Post an update once you get your log up and running! :D
Does anyone else keep a journal of things that they do to their vehicle? I log every time I make a change to the Jeep and include the miles, date, type, cost, and any notes to give a detailed account as to what was changed.
Here's an example of my journal, what does yours look like? What other...
