interesting, I had Mud ATs that had cupping and tons of vibrations and i got so sick of it I swapped them out on my 2010 tacoma for the Falken wild peaks also Dec. 2018. I'm about 30-40% into them and they're quiet and supper smooth and I just came back from a 900+ trip from coastal CA over...
I can help you with # 3. Use big ass skewers. I make these for a fun side business and would be happy to sell you 2 for the price of one in exchange for a couple pictures of it in use on a solo pit.

Thanks for the experienced feedback. Given the whole pandemic thing I suspect we'd be better off waiting and doing a smaller local event to test the waters.

Greetings OB team. I want to see how many members are planning to head to Flagstaff in may for the Expo. I've never been and have a fun side business so I wanted to get some feedback from other OB members who have sold product at the expo. I'm curious on if it was a break even event for...
I've been super happy with my Falken Wildpeaks I got them in January, I'm on the west coast and havn't tried them in snow yet but they do great on the beach sand and they're quiet on the freeway. I had AT Muds on before that were noisy and cupping was a problem. Save $50 a tire and go with...
I go Cast iron too. a 12" and a smaller one for eggs. There's nothing better than Iron.
To Grill over a fire I use my Cowboy Kabobs since they're easy and light and clean fast. I make these things as a side business for fun. basically a stainless 42" long big ass skewer and you skewer...
Here's a good marinate that I've been using for years. It's great to do the night before you head out and let it marinate while driving out to camp.
The orange and pinapple juice soak in and tenderize the beef and then when you cook it it comes back out and the sugars caramelize on the...
My vote is for El Pato Salsa in the Green can, just like Hernandez but the red salsa is really good and doesn't have all the vinegar that most salsas use to keep it longer in the jar. El Pato is the bomb. Green can with a duck logo great on eggs or with a bag of chips.
I recently bought a Cabela’s west winds 6 person Geodome tent and I’m very impressed. I was considering the REI kingdom 6 and read a bunch of the reviews and picked the Cabela’s tent. It’s on sale for $250. And has about 10x10’ floor space and 6’3” of headroom and a big vestibule. I set...
If you travel with friends and have recovery gear you can help each other out. I’d say stay on fire roads and do dispersed camping with the family and if everyone loves it invest in 4x4 but always travel with another vehicle to help each other out.
I have 2 of the Luci lights and love them. I keep one in my glove box and always have it. They hold a charge a long time and I bring them backpacking since they’re light and easy to hang in a tent or over the kitchen area or to play cards
Here's an Article on Fire Grilling Basics with some ideas for those sorta new to campfire cooking. I'd love to get some feedback & suggestions from this group on what to add or change.
Cheers, Hans S.
Nice work! I have some plate steel with the same idea in mind but so many home projects have kept me from cutting some steel and trying to make my own like you did. Cheers,
Amen Brotha - I agree I love cooking over campfires. in fact I started a side business called Fire Grilling ! I don't 'like to haul a lot of stuff so I came up with the Cowboy Kabob which is basically a big ass Skewer that fits across fire pits. So my recipes are mostly using my Kabobs...
Looks like a well designed product to add space and keep dust and weather out. Good job. And good luck with your launch to market! I think OB should add a members products section to help you me and others highlight their gear. I know of at least 2 other OB members including myself with...
