DIY 270 telescoping awning mounts for rack with an iKamper RTT

Yep. I like the idea because it would also give you more clearance and protect from branches etc when it's laying flat. Then at camp you fold it up and open it out. And since it's now "floating" higher than the roof rack, the rear cargo door can open up fully.

Also, here's an expensive product to extend awning away from mount: https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/rack-accessories/camp-accessories/front-runner-movable-arm-for-easy-out-awning-2m-2-5m.html

DIY 270 telescoping awning mounts for rack with an iKamper RTT

Great work so far! I also have a situation where I want my awning to lift up vertically before using, because of the rest cargo door on my 4Runner. Right now the cargo door can't be opened when the 270 awning is open. The best possible out-of-the-box solution I found so far is to try folding...

SOLD DIY PULL KITCHEN to complete and make your own, SOLD

Thanks but my setup revolves around a 270 awning, which means the lift gate can't open. So I roll the lift gate window down and reach in to MOLLE panels rather than store things in drawers.

    Tacoma DIY Goose gear

I haven't looked into it in awhile, but I'm pretty sure someone makes a solid MOLLE panel that goes behind the rear seats across the entire wall there. You could use that to mount anything you want. It's not DIY I guess. Although maybe you could just find someone with a CNC to cut it out of a...

Right on. The sway bar relocate is just a spacer relocate to avoid it colliding with coils in wheel well. I still have it connected, it just sits a little different.
