There are many spots along 105 to camp. Some with just epic views.

After we saw the falls we took 183 to 181 to get to Table Rock. Through Jonas Ridge we got fuel at Mountain Crossing. Neat little store.

Grandfather Ranger District is showing FSR 106 is closed for the seasonal closure. If I did NC-Troopers’s coordinates correct, I believe that group spot is at the end of 106.

My son and I have not done the Old N.C. 105 mentioned previously. We are going to give it a go after the meet up.

Been wanting to do this run, we are doing Uwharrie this weekend but any other dates we are game.

I am just west of you near Greensboro, my son and I are going to go next weekend to Yellow Gap and Avery Creek. Planning 2 or 3 night outing. Let me know if interested or if your planning anything, I'm game.

Son and I just finished diff / locker breather kit, Shockworks auxiliary battery kit with air pump relocation. Lift is going to be after front and rear bumper, rock sliders and roof rack. Think we are going to go hit Yellow Gap and Avery creek next weekend and see what we come across.
