Do you still have a front and rear sway bars connected? You could probably remove the rears and not notice a difference, but you’ll definitely notice a difference in center of gravity changes with the front sway bar disconnected.

When I took mine apart, the wires were bent in a way that they almost dropped right into the same position. If you really have to bend them another way, it's probably on the wrong terminal.
Try hitting them with a hammer, or a BFH, to break free any corrosion that might be in the threads.
A little heat on the heim should be ok to get it to expand a touch. Try the hammer method when it's hot and then see about getting them to turn.
