Update time. The last several days have been hectic to say the least but first off, I did get to meet with Kent R in Sacramento and have an enjoyable breakfast and good conversation. Thank you Kent for taking time out to meet with me, it was greatly appreciated!!
After meeting with Kent, my...
Update time...
Apologies for the slow update, the last couple of days have been busy...
OK, landed safely in LA on Friday morning where I caught a cab to the storage facility in Compton to get my Jeep. After dealing with the good folk there and picking up Rubi and the TT, my first stop was a...
I can totally understand your frustration...
Even though my Jeep was built in the Toledo plant, I cannot import it into the US on a permanent basis as it doesn't conform to standards required by the relevant authorities. I do believe one of the differences may involve the emissions equipment...
There's no way that was ever going to happen. Those previous delays are way behind me now, so I'll move forward and focus on the upcoming adventure....
Stay tuned, she's going to be a ripper!!
Hello all, I do believe that it is time for an update.
Those of you that have read my thread and are aware of the complications of my journey, will be no doubt be surprised that I am returning to the US to finish what I started!!

Cheers mate. Unfortunately I’m headed back home on the 31st of this month but thank you for your offer.

A fair bit of work went into not only shortening it ( around 10inches) but the curve down the side of the windshield...
Thanks for the support fellas. An attorney has been called in. The reason for refusal isn’t know at this time as we have to wait on snail mail from Charleston SC to Washington state.
The post I never thought I would make.
After spending so much money preparing my Jeep for what essentially was my idea of “ The trip of a life time” has been snuffed out by your folk at Customs.
It has taken these arses 5 stinking weeks to tell me that my American built Jeep has been denied...
Unfortunately it’s after 4 pm here on the east coast so no updates and definitely not knowing my position until Atleast midday Monday is extremely frustrating.
I bet the bureaucrats don’t take as long in approving the firefighters that are coming to assist you...
Unbelievably yes. The shipper spoke to me yesterday and let me know that Customs had spoken to his broker and advised him that a part of the consignment is inadmissible to the US, hopefully find out today which part. Bloody hoping it’s not Rubi.
