Great net. I tried to get on but I have yet to be registered with echolink. I listened part way on the conference line but it dropped me after about 7 minutes. I will try to look you up again next week. Thanks for getting HAM into the conversation. A large number of people in OB here in Orange...
I will be making the run that day but I will likely miss your start time. I'll be in BB doing some yard maintenance before rolling out. Maybe I can catch you guys on simplex en route. Is anyone on a HAM?
Got to get to Papi' for some BBQ!
FYI - I just bought 2 FuelPax and received 2 free mounts. Looked like a good deal. I purchased the FuelPax from the RotoPax website. Looks like they are producing a more affordable fuel carrier. Sidewall is thinner but they got me on the free mounts.

Looking like a great group going! Frank, do you want to suggest people thinking about getting inexpensive comms before going. Might be a good tool for the first timersMaybe GMRS? Always nice to know what’s going on between vehicles.
I can ride last and likely hit you with HAM in the front of...
Overland Bounders,
Just got back this past week from the 1st Annual Feed the Vets Event and Toyota of Huntington Beach, CA. Wow! Great rigs and ideas out of the show. Brian and Matt got it going on at Goose gear.
So, I got my behind in gear after the show and got to work. Just installed a...
I like the roof set-up! When searching roof racks online, Prinsu looked the best to me. That rack and roof build out is on my list.
Did you "T" bolt though the boxes to the rack?
How is the wind noise with rack alone and then with gear?
Looking great.
I'm a little uneasy with pulling out the grinder on the cab mount. I may stick with 275/70/17's but I've already smacked my diff on a trail. Any issues with hacking the cab mount?
Lookin' great Justin! I'll be watching your progress. Question. . . Did you need any cutting to fenders or cab mounts with the 285's? I want to move to that tire size and I have Camburg UCA's as well.
Thanks,
Auspicious Osprey
Overland Bounders,
This is day 2 - That means the tires got dirty on day 1 and now its time to build the capabilities of this 2008 Tacoma TRD Sport. I have some ideas along with some questions. I'll post as this build develops, but I see the most of the work on this rig coming through the next...
Hello All!
Just got the overland fever a couple of months ago on a road trip with my wife. It was a bit of a whirlwind trip but we wanted to hit as many National Parks as possible in an extended week. Basically a scouting trip for the future. The brief . . . Left home from Anaheim, Southern...
