We went last year and can say it’s worth it. Lots of fun classes, events, and times to be shared.

My trip happened a while ago, but you all should be fine with a trailer/full-size rig. There was a tight spot just before dropping into Packwood where we got some light pinstriping.

I ran this in 2012, south to north. We had a crew of 4, in three rigs. None of our trucks were new, but we made sure they were mechanically sound. I had purchased paper maps from the Forest Service, and plotted our route as close to the Pacific Crest Trail as we could, initially.

It was a great time! I saw a couple of flags, but no one was home when i went by. Love the pictures! Bob was an excellent instructor, would love to attend one of his regular classes.
