That section at 48 minutes to 53 minutes looked pretty sketchy - and the camera never does translate how steep this actually is - but at 52:30 that to me showed how steep that was - and one guy did it with a trailer! - haha. Some great drone footage. Good stuff.
Just came back from there (Moab / Canyonlands / Capital Reef / etc). May and October are the best months weather wise. I didn’t encounter too much traffic at all on the Shafer Switchbacks. Disn’t get to Chicken Corners. Camping was busy in Valley of the Gods, a lot of traffic there...
So two days ago we went to Valley of the Gods - some great camping possibilities in there. Didn’t make it to Monument Valley. Here is a Milky Way shot from the campsite last night. Central and Southern Utah skies are dark and great for Astrophotography.
Today we went to Dead Horse Point State Park first, to look down on the road we were going to take (Shaffer Swtichbacks to Potash Road). Then to Canyonlands NP, where we hit the Shaffer Switchbacks first, heading down. Did that so the pics would come out better as we were doing this in late...
So far its been windy in the late afternoon, but calm in mornings to early afternoon and evenings. Temps have been in the high 70s. I hate the wind in the desert, so rough on camera equipment if you are not careful.

Temple of the Sun - Cathedral Valley - Capital Reef NP - and Temple of the Moon. 16 miles on a mild off road trail to get here - nobody was here and I spent 4 hours here.
