Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance this week and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Been an interesting holiday season to say the least...,, got the Transfer Case back into the Blazer last Monday after Christmas day. Unfortunately there were a couple family members at Christmas dinner that were a little under the weather then after working on the Transfer Case Monday in -15•C...
You and your family have a guide new years weekend as well!
That's a great idea, I might look into some options for a toolbox center console as well as the ammo cans.
Hopefully this weekend I'll get out and take some measurements of the dimensions I, working with and work on some designs...
How has this mounting system your using hold up? Is the truck used off road where stresses might be exerted on that Shovel handle?
Would definitely appreciate updates as you get some use out of it.....Also how much weight do you think is being supported off that Shovel?
glad I'm not the only one using the parts washer... you wouldn't by chance be using the kitchen work bench as well would you.
I'm in the same boat as you waiting on parts... my Slip yoke on my rear drive shaft is said to be discontinued, and waiting 6 weeks for a hopeful compatible...
Merry Christmas you Filthy Animals!
Yesterday I finished up the Transfer case and got it paint3d up.
Should have it back in the Blazer Monday or Tuesday depending when my sister's husband can lend a hand to lift it back in. Tight fit with the welded in crossmember for the rear...
You have a Solid build happening, I'm sure with the quality of this build, this rig will have no problem doing its extended purpose. Nice choice on the GM drive train and planning on having readily available parts across the country. Makes life easier if shit happens.
Looking forward...
Epic vehicle choice to building, and from the photos looks like a pretty straight solid body and frame.
Your well on your way with this build and it's coming along fantastic can't wait to see it hit the trails.
I have a question for you though, being on an overland forum, do you plan to...
Great build thread! The rear seat delete is a nice touch with the storage and sleeping platform.
Loving those custom bumpers did a fine job on those!
Making me really want another WJ. Gunna make that happen soon.
While tearing the rest of the case apart to change the bearings and seals, I came across a dew parts I didn't expect to have to change out. Mainly the shift fork pads and the clutch fork pads, luckily the Nzp231J & NP231C cases share the same part #'s and casting #'s so I was able to just...
Just utterly wild.. 22 years ago I grabbed my Wrangler with 100,000km on it for $10,896 , my insurance writs off payed out $10,500 with 430,000kms on the body, 20k on the rebuild engine , 5k on fresh upgraded axles and gears. I had alot into her I didn't recoup whsy I put onto it but felt...
I haven't had a chance to dig into the lift very much, but can confirm James Duff make lifts for Ford applications. Which should make tracking down alot easier than I had originally thought. I'm sure the axles shave so e I'd markings or plates on them. But I'm pretty aire they came out od...
Ya it's been a life saver having these extra parts, glad I'm a stickler and hord these kinda things. Off reading you never know when your gunna brake something and ne3d to replace it yourself. Been really nice especially during the holiday season and have 3 kiddos birthdays coming up in...
Been working on cleaning up the shop while I'm waiting on some parts for the Transfer case. Tossing Jeep Parts up on marketplaces and groups trying to thin stuff out I won't be using again. Saving jeep parts I have plans to use, I'm keeping my eye open for the right Jeep Grand Cherokee...
Nice rig setup! Digging the suburban ome of my favorite platforms!
I'm really Digging the swing out Hitch mounted Tire carrier, but that's quite the price Tay Almost close to a custom fabbed bumper.
Definitely on my radar as I need a way to carry a full size 35" tire.
That is one of the sickest rigs I've seen! Thanks for those wonderful photos, that's definitely some Overland goals. Looks like a sweet, comfortable overland rig to enjoy those adventures...
Your photos look like an absolute amazing place to enjoy
