Mine is Phase2...and it's a Jeep. I don't talk about the name much because it sounds kind of dumb, but it got named a few years ago - so it's stuck with it.
The background is simple...I bought a Harley when I was 32 as what I believe was a bit of an early mid-life crisis thing. That was fun...
I did a ton of research on roof racks and I just ordered a Front Runner Slimline II. The accessory catalog is really impressive in addition to the excellent design of the rack itself.
I drive a Jeep JKU. I love it because it's easy to build the way I want it. But I'm a "car guy" first. So I love all forms - particularly the rigs that are unique. Toyota, Jeep, full size pick-up, Subaru, Go-cart...doesn't matter to me. What I love more than the vehicle itself is finding someone...
Thought I'd check in here. I'm on the MI Overland FB page already - but glad to be an OB member now as well. Name is Pete for those that are also in the FB page.

They pack up really small and are comfortable as well. There are other versions out...
Check out BOLD Overland on You Tube as well. There aren't a lot of episodes, but they're pretty good...particularly the episode where they have the big "oops" - you'll see.
I've had the best luck plotting routes in Google Earth and then exporting the file to Gaia for use on an iPad. I also use a Delorme InReach for GPS and link it to my iPad - seems to be a very solid approach so far.
