    US Northwest Monthly Portland meetup

Sorry to miss everyone tonight! Slipped my mind with work. Buuuuut I was going to ask if anyone has been to overland expo or planning to go this year! I wanted to ask if worth it tonight but alas I’m not there! Hope you have a good time

Trip to Portland from SF Bay Area

Hi! PDXer here. Which direction are you planning on coming up? Also you’ll find pretty variable weather depending on how you come up. We’re already getting snow in the mountain areas. But one thing for sure expect all the rain in Portland and surrounding areas

What type of lifts are you running?

Thanks. It was a sad decision. Was looking forward to a big build but really didn’t make sense for me at the moment. (Don’t really have time with my job) 35s, a mopar lift, beadlocks and more fun ordered and on the way!

What type of lifts are you running?

    1) Thanks for everyone’s input. So helpful. Gave me a lot to think about and ponder 2) The end of the saga: sold the JK and ordered a rubicon. Will certainly be building this bad boy up though once it arrives…

    Bears Ears

Bears Ear is definitely on my bucket list. Those pictures! I can't even imagine in person

    White Rim Alternatives

Of course! There were some this sucks moments (ie having to stack every two seconds during a mile stretch; hopefully it’s still there and you can ride right on down!) but overall so so so worth it. Glad we didn’t pull the trigger. We ran into people who bailed but going straight through was...

    White Rim Alternatives

Haha come one. Drop some tears for me JK it was more the “where are we going to camp for 4 days” aspect. I could drive around that area all day and not get bored

    White Rim Alternatives

The trails are starting to not be packed. You can run a trail and maybe see one other person. I saw more bikes on trails than vehicles. With the exception of hell’s revenge which was thriving with UTVs If you decide to get off the grid I’m more than happy to share my obsessive check lists...

    White Rim Alternatives

Oh man snow so early! We went a week or so ago. Weather was definitely making a turn then. It was so windy I wondered how anyone in those bike groups was happy to be in a ground tent

    White Rim Alternatives

Hello! So the road was pretty decent for the first half. Whitecrack to Candlestick was pretty beat up when we went. Lots of washouts. Saw some well built out rigs scrape and struggle in some spots. Even saw one break a control arm. But took it slow and smart and no issues. They laid down...

What type of lifts are you running?

See I was all onboard with the jku rebuild But plot twist, the SO today just said we should just trade in for a rubicon

What type of lifts are you running?

Oh nice! Glad you like the RE. It's certainly on my mind given how my friend swears by them. And if I'm going to switch up my build out plans it may be a good place to start! I may just have to copy your build haha

What type of lifts are you running?

sounds like I'll get the opportunity for two build outs. I don't mind dropping money into the Sahara but this is definitely something to think about. After everyone's input/comments I'll probably just do lift that requires the least amount of additional modifications. I can always keep the...

What type of lifts are you running?

I love the look of your jeep. Clearly capable without being overly aggressive looking. Thank you for sharing the details. I'm beginning to think I need to just pull the plug on lockers, etc in addition to the lift. I don't want to be held back and if I want to crawl rocks I'll stick to UTVs haha

What type of lifts are you running?

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like even without rock crawling I should consider doing a little bit more

What type of lifts are you running?

Ohh that sounds great. I certainly have a heavier load when I'm out and about. Thanks for letting me know what you have as well.

What type of lifts are you running?

Once I’m done I just want to be able to do moderate trails on varied terrain. I want to get to more remote campsites but not have a heart attack or roll my jeep in the process haha (high hopes maybe). I don’t think I’ll ever be a hard trail person. I’m pretty sure I don’t want 37s. And I...

What type of lifts are you running?

Hmmm interesting. I’ve also looked into the RE lift system because one of my friends with three rock crawlers swears by them. I really need/want the extra clearance so I’ll need to dig deeper into what you’ve brought up!
