Was worried about coming loose. But rethinking the wingnuts

I mounted my shovel and axe today. Used "U" bolts and nylock nuts. They are secure, however I'm not happy with the appearance, or the amount of time it would take to get a tool. So I'll come up with something new.

Mounted my shovel and axe. Very secure, but not very easy to access. Gonna have to figure something else out. Also sanded and repainted my winch.

Anyone planning on attending?

With regards to roof racks, is it better to mount the axe cutting edge up, or down? And with shovels, long handle or medium "D" handle? What are your thoughts? Thanks

Inst Installed a roof rack recently, built a cargo box for behind the seat. Mostly I have streamlined my gear. I have to keep my backseat in the jeep, still gets used for kids and passengers on the trail. Great question though, may have to make a video on it for my YouTube channel.
