What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Gonna like it, they are nice, but the wait time blows. I'm an odd duck and actually bought the armor before the truck. Good thing, mine was a little over 6 months for the front bumper. But they are nice. On the fairlead, did you do natural or black anodized? I went black on mine so it does not...

It sure is. My daughter likes it but its the Serape that she loves. I have been half tempted to get a woobie express when they were first released, but was already eyeing the HPG serape. After comparing the two, I had to go with HPG, so be it weights more, its also larger, has a hood, no Velcro...

Me??? If so, yup. Picked up a Tepui Autana ruggedized in haze grey. Posted about it in the "what did you do to your rig" thread. Sorry not here, but here you go. http://overlandbound.com/forums/index.php?threads/what-did-you-do-with-your-rig-today.35/page-87#post-18615 I'm a fan, Ive only used...

    Unexpected Experiences

Good stories brother. I have had a few out hiking. One was in my hammock at desolation lake up big cottonwood canyon. IT is october, there is a good amount of snow on the ground in the upper elevations where the lake is located. I hike in and am the only person I see the entire day. Setup camp...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

New rear bumper. From Shrock to Maxterra. The Jerry can addition is nice and the main reason for wanting to replace the Shrock, the lights are nice, the welds are nice. The entire thing, beyond what I wanted. Was over at his place today around lunch, took off the Shrock, mounted his bumper...

    Water Crossing Photos

Here are some I have saved off from the 2015 UXOC father day Unitah run. Dave, Dave, Rob, and myself. Great time, great scenery, and it made me want the Maxterra rear bumper with Jerry can mounts. A video I put together of the trip, still need to finish it and add some music I guess. Rob got...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Finally a day off, AND I have my X back! 14 days... I felt like a target driving a Juke, I had a dozen cars pull out right in front of me, that never happens in the X. Guess size does matter on some things. Anyways, did a few odds and ends to the truck. Did a trail mount for the propane tank...

    New Guy

Good looking setup, and welcome to the forum. This is one place where it does not matter what you drive, and there is little arguments about what is better here, and it quite one of the more chill forums around.

    Tembo Tusk Skottle Review

Your going to enjoy it. My break in meal on it was Korean Bulgogi. This marinated beef is VERY PUNGENT. As in, do not try to cook it in your house unless you have a nice wolf vent blower hood assy. I had neighbors come from 3 doors down wondering what I was making. Serve it with rice, veggies...

    Let there be light...!

Too bright, I dont see a dam thing. Looks good man. A separate standalone relay/ fuse panel is one of the best things ever when it comes to adding electrical. Only thing is, you need to plan everything out in front first and go for it, then just terminate the wire ends as you add stuff down...

    Sleeping Bags

Okay, I am having a little trouble finding some of the photos, but here you go with what I have found. Before we begin, let me start by saying that I have no issues with the temp ratings of any of the bags (MSS, Wiggys, Kifaru). When I originally posted this on bladeforums and 24campfire, I...

    Sleeping Bags

I have a MSS it works, and can be had pretty cheap. After 8 years in the Marines and 15 years as a civie carrying shit on my back, I will say, that I would not carry a MSS in a backpack. Same with Wiggys, Wiggys are a little more expensive, I feel better constructed, more options, but still...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Not with my rig, but it will be transported in the rig... 22" partner stove with stand and plate. I was really amazed at the weight of this thing. The stand will ride with the camp chairs on the rack fore section along with the 5lb propane tank. Also have a blue ridge overland gear stove bag and...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

This. Explains why most of us have an air compressor in their rig to air up after deflating for the trail. I run 42 on the street and 20 on the trail on my 285/75-16 Duratracs. Using the ARB CKMTA12 air compressor I can air up the tires faster than the Staun deflators can take the air out.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Special thanks to Rob for his assistance getting the tent up there. And thanks to Adam for the purchasing assistance. It was a learning curve trying to get it setup as it will be in the field, IE no use of an separate ladder. Its a great size on the inside, setup is not to bad but the height of...

If you read the post you will see I did look at them but the color is obnoxious, shipping was a lot more. Just for FYI, the Standard Mt Shasta was quoted to cost 250 to ship to me. Tepui charges a flat rate 215 for the ruggedized and 150 for the standard weight Shasta equivalents when delivered...
