    Tire Opinions

I like the look of the Nitto's. Haven't seen many rigs with the Geolanders, but my thinking that AT tires, in general is a good around tire, hence All Terrain. I run Toyo Open Country ATs and my rig sees more pavement than dirt unfortunately.

Aftermarket stereo that works with Gaia?

Yes the public beta of Gaia for iOS works on my Apple Car Play stereo. I have a single DIN fold out Pionner Apple Car Play deck. I'm sure there are newer versions of my deck out there

    Added GMRS to '18 Trek

Wow nice install and placement. I have a similar Wilco hitch and was wording about wiring to it for a backup camera, so you have me some ideas. You must have a very powerful drill. I'm assuming you drilled through the hitch to guide the coax cable? Good SWR reading.

Leaving your 12v fridge plugged in?

I only plug my Dometic when I need it. When I get home I just clean it and store it. If I left it plugged in my my rig I’m afraid people would see the LED lights of the fridge while in the back of my camper shell. I could always cover it but I’m sure the one time I didn’t would be the last...

Trip to the Nevada Desert for 4 days with my wife. Things I should consider?

Not that I have experience traveling in the desert, but from what I understand you should have at least enough water, 1-2 gallons of water, per person, per day. Being out in the desert, I could imagine it'd be very dusty. I'd also bring some gadgets, i.e. Inreach Mini, battery packs, drone...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I'm getting the same Kenwood TM-V71A radio that's in my rig. Since I like the simplicity of the menus and features I just got the same. The home shack radios are very pricy and I don't have the desk real estate for all that.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Bought another Ham radio for my home, also a Kenwood TM-V71A. I can rotate it from my home to my other daily driver.

What is your go too overlanding photography kit/setup? What is in your Camera bag?

I no longer carry my Canon camera for trips, at least not for the family trips we've taken in the last 12 or so years (mostly beach vacations). My go to camera bag (actually small Go Pro back pack) is my Go Pro 8 and my iPhone 12 Pro. I have a Mavic Mini, which I got right before the pandemic...
