Not yet, any move is still at least 2-3 years out right now. Also, we've decided that Oregon is more than likely where we'll move to as we spent a couple of weeks there this past fall exploring areas and visiting family. Wife wants to be closer to family that's in Oregon, I have family in WA...
No worries, I couldn't remember what the limits were so figured I might as well share the official info as a reference. Wasn't meaning for it to come across as RTFM-ish. :D
I looked into the Defy but it was a hard pass (I have the Zoleo and wife has an inReach so wasn't serious anyway, but always curious about new products), aside from SOS and pre-programmed check-in messages you can only communicate with other Bullitt Messenger users, there is no 2-way...
Man, this thread needs some new life! Well, I just finished building a TRX4 and this thing is a beast! My first crawler was an OG SCX10 that I built 10+ years ago (I forget exactly, it's been a while) and after moving to Illinois 8+ years ago it fell by the wayside as there weren't many good...
There's a link to vehicle definitions on that page, basically class I are quads and class II are SxS with a maximum width of 65 inches. During the winter it's snowmobiles only.
According to onX that is the Red Dot Trail and it's ATV/SxS only with a 65-inch width limit.

Google Street View also shows ATV/snowmobile access only.

I'm not sure if any of these will work for you, but we have one with dividers that works great for organizing spices, packets, etc, with the hinged lid and all the internal dividers that can be moved around.

Not today, but I finally got my truck back this past week after having a triple-disc torque converter installed. Towing while tuned revealed the OEM TC wasn't up to the task.
I'm considering it, would be coming from central IL and would be picking up I-80 in Nebraska if I went, though I'd probably be leaving on Thursday. Problem is...no idea where I'd camp as the camping passes are sold out.
As usual, our needs evolved over time and now my Decked drawers, while handy, aren't holding much since we changed from an RTT on the truck to a trailer. I've needed the space in my bed more than I've needed the drawers lately. Drawers are less than 2 years old and have always been under a...
TBH, the new LC is the only vehicle I've seen lately that has me seriously considering trading my truck in a couple of years. It checks most of the right boxes, my biggest question is around the 2.4 turbo hybrid and how it performs once the tiny battery is depleted. I get the draw to the...
We've been happy with Progressive, ended up switching back to them after State Farm started raising rates excessively every renewal period for no obvious reason. Progressive had the best rates, and they actually dropped a bit since we switched, as well as some nice value-add services for...
One could argue that someone who mods their vehicle to look like they overland but they don't actually overland aren't overlanders, they're just posers and as such they aren't actually involved in this hobby outside of consumerism and supporting the businesses that are providing products. We...
Well, we've all heard the phrase "As slow as possible, as fast as necessary." How about "As little as possible, as much as necessary?" :D Every person has to determine what is necessary for their enjoyment/comfort/abilities, nobody else can determine that for them.
Some people seem to think...
Hmmm...that's a CO not CO2 detector, CO2 won't trigger it because CO2 isn't a health hazard and CO detectors can't detect it. I've found the CO/smoke detector that came with our Pando eats batteries quickly, not sure why but maybe it's because I started using rechargeables and they don't last...
That's an interesting idea, @EStokes. My main concern would be moisture ingress into the battery area. Skid plate enclosure would be a must no matter what, but the compartment would need to be 100% sealed which would then make access/service/replacement a bit of a pain. If water/moisture gets...
