Welcome! Glad you were able to go on the trip last weekend, I had to bail, but live in Spokane. if you see a lifted Maroon Lexus (mostly on the north side of spokane) that's me. look forward to connecting with you on the trail!
LOL @Buzzbee17 just knows how to run a trail in a goup... hanging back perfectly so you get epic shots of your rig! ;-). That blue FJ is going to be synonymous with Doug Bar!
It is a great shot!
Honestly this is one that folks leaving at their own time is super easy, since google will route you litterally the entire way. you just miss out on the Radio Chatter and Dave's impromtu renditions of Heart while driving though the canyon crossing into Oregon...
Yeah, just RSVP so that you're included on the future PM to the attendees.
Unfortunately I don't have a good idea of a camp for the night before, other than Wallowa Lake State Park. Reserve on line we talked to the rangers and they have a couple up and they're pretty empty all winter (they...

Anyone who's going to leave later, send me a PM with your phone number (by Friday at 1200) or a...

I can supply the CHEEEESE!!!!
And diced potatoes (again need to reheat)
Hi Matt,
Sounds like you've got a ton of experience camping and wheeling. my journey was similar though the military kind of moved me from group of friends with different focuses to another. and I kind of retained a bit for all of it, but mainly I retained the passon for getting out there and...
So last qustion first, Absolutely doable in a full size rig. we're planning on having a few with us, and in the scouting trip a couple weeks ago I saw a Dodge Ram Dually, a Sprinter Van, 2 F250's and a coupld F150s'. not to mention several Trailers, most of those would be outside my comfort...
just too much traveling, she's going to Chicago the same time I am to see family, and she has to work Friday so we wouldn't be able to leave till Sat. plus she needs time away from me lol
