    Watercraft?

Not a lot of luck with the rod and line but at Santispac the fishermen sell their catch on the beach. In fact you can get just about anything from the beach vendors; fresh fruit and veg, tamales and pastries, fresh water and even the propane truck swings by once a week.

    Watercraft?

Here are a few. Baja California is well worth the trip. Early morning at Gonzaga Bay, when the sea was calmest. Dawn at Gonzaga Bay. On the beach at Santispac. I might have been to more beautiful places, but I can't remember when.

    Watercraft?

We carry two sit-on-top kayaks on the roof of the truck. Ten feet long Tamarack model made by Lifetime. Bought them from Walmart for under $600 the pair. Not a brilliant sleek, fast and responsive design but great fun and value for money. We just got back from Baja California and the Sea of...

Camp stove advice for plans for future global overlanding (Coleman Dual Fuel 424?)

On a long trip like that you should practice cooking over an open wood burning fire. You never know when and where the skills will be needed.

Pictures off your first time off-roading/overlanding

1983 at the Gorge du Verdon in France, we were told that you could find gold in the riverbed. Fourteen people of 7 nationalities left the beach at St Tropez and headed for the hills in two VW Combies. We never found any gold but that might of had something to do with the 45 litres of red wine we...

How has the Covid-19 virus affected your adventures?

Well, I had a great time in Baja California and Arizona. Then the Canadian government issued a No-Travel advisory for the USA and this allowed the insurance companies to cancel my medical and travel insurance. Ten days notice to get back to Canada; not a problem from Yuma but then the diff...

    Overlanding with a Honda Ridgeline

Honda generators are the best you can buy. I'm sure they could make a first class truck for off-roading if they put their mind to it.

Give it a Mossy Oak vinyl wrap and away you go.

    Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla owe a big Thank-You to Le Tourneau. The Overland Train has electric motors in every wheel; even back in the 60's.

OB Approved Overlanding/Camping with a dog

Good thread. I'm not a dog owner but have looked after a remote campground in the Rocky Mountains this last Summer. I was very lax about the "Dogs on Leash" and "No Dogs On The Beach" rules and overall there wasn't a bad dog on the place while I was there. The same can't be said about the...

    Ineos Grenadier.

I keep reading about this new 4x4 and like what I am reading. But does anyone have a photo or any idea what it's going to look like?

    Snow Travel

I'm lucky enough to have automatic snow chains but i still carry a shovel. A long-handled ice chipper. A good pair of fleece lined work gloves Plus both kinds of emergency food......Mars bars and Snickers.

    Changing fluids

Yes, do it. It's a good way of getting to know a new-to-you vehicle.

    Spices what do you carry

    Absolutely!

    Spices what do you carry

Salt, Pepper, Cajun and Herbs de Provence. During the truck build, the G/F came home with some magnetic spice tins. She was disappointed that they didn't stick to the aluminum diamond plate back-splash. I told her the magnets were probably faulty, so she took them back for a refund.
