    Let them eat SPAM!

At least this is the good kind of spam...lol. My family grew up on spam, altho from what I have seen in this thread, we have just barely touched it wide range of uses. I may just have to try this challenge also as I am planning a 10 day trip on the TAT starting NY/PA border.

Got some dirt on the tires...

Fresh snow yes....I had plans of going camping over Christmas break in this same area but cancelled due to a storm coming in, up to three feet of snow. Then it rained and froze to solid ice and I wasn't going to even try that. Hoping not much ice tomorrow so I can get in there.

    Rig Photos

I built a drawer system in the bed to store cooking gear, recovery gear, tools, misc stuff all under where I put my truck bed tent. Keeps everything organized and dry and easy access. I do haul 5th wheel campers/trailers also, so I had to design it to work with the 5th wheel hitch that goes into...

What is the cost of something like that? 12" or 16" grilling area? Nevermind....I found it. $169.99 that is a lot of money for something that is only 13" cooking area.

Solid food that can be reheated in a saucepan on a campstove

I'm sure there are lots of foods that wouldn't exist today if they weren't around before the microwave....lots of very good foods that belong nowhere near a microwave. lol

    Any Hunters Among Us?

Was out exploring a new area with my son, 6000 acres of private land that I have permission to be on. We did a little muzzle loader hunting that day also....didn't see anything except beautiful scenery.

    Like camping? Like bugs? Well....

    Star Gazing

I don't have a telescope for it, but have used binoculars to bring things closer. Mostly I just enjoy being out under the stars, enjoying the tranquility of nature. There is something about being out in the middle of nowhere with millions of stars shining that does something to my soul. I need...

Solid food that can be reheated in a saucepan on a campstove

That is why I use these. They are called cowboy skillets or cowboy tins. Lightweight, but work very well. I found these in an old barn doing a cleanout, I almost tossed them before I realized what they were. About 150yrs old and work good as new, they can take campfire or cook top stove. The...

Where to sleep with a 270 awning

Why not use a Roof top tent?? Can still have the 270 awning to keep cooking area dry. Much easier to use than any other tent, more comfortable with the real mattress and warmer too.
