Hi everyone, I recently purchased a midland mxt115 gmrs and got my license. I've read the manual for the unit and it left me more confused than before. Is there a gmrs for dummies ? I dont understand all the tones and codes. Any help would greatly be appreciated

I was looking into the national forest annual pass which is 80$ a year. But as I was doing some digging it looks like the pass doesnt cover OHV trails that requires a special permit pass? Does anyone have any info on this subject?
