Kato, my wife and I are also planning to be on the Mojave Rd in late December 2017. Our route, however, is West to East and our start date is December 27 thru... well... we're not certain about our end date since we like to explore and play. In other words we typically stay very flexible...

Keith, Trecia and I are planning to leave the "meet up" and run over to the Cohutta Wilderness section of the GA Traverse (and up into TN) for a few days of camping and exploring. We've been up and down Tray Mountain a couple of times in the last 30 days or so, hence its not on our list to go...
