    Storing Tap Water in Vehicle

Probably good practise to top out the container and add an eggcup full of sterilising fluid every so often such as Milton. Milton won’t kill you but makes the water smell a bit like chlorine. If your container is opaque you should be ok,if it’s white and the light can get through you could have...

    Family adventure trailer

I think I’m going to check the fit of the doors next and drill some holes for those, then pull it apart and spray the chassis with bed liner- looking forward to seeing how the paint looks.

    Family adventure trailer

I have created a black hole -anything I put in will be crushed to atoms and remain in stasis for a million years before being spewed out into one of a billion alternative realities- I will meet my rocket stove in 100,000 years and get a feeling of dejavu- I will ignore it and pour a drink a roll...

    Family adventure trailer

I’ve decided to use phenolic ,it’s more expensive, but will save the time and effort of treating it. I like the finish albeit a little dark.

    Budget RTT Cargo

the great thing about this style of trailer is the ability to use it so many ways- it’s big enough to take heaps of gear, but if needed you can also sleep in there, could even have a table and chair setup somehow-very useful with kids to be able to sit them down with food for 10 minuets -...

    Family adventure trailer

Got some paint on it now-next is a test fit of all the parts-I’m thinking to use rubber spacers to isolate the boxes from the chassis

    Family adventure trailer

After a busy summer,I am finding some time in the dark mornings to get some more of the trailer done. I have skinned the boxes with sheet steel- leaving gaps for the doors. I was offered a much better price on the pre made doors,so I bit the bullet-now have 5 doors ready to go in . Next job will...

    7 man caravan

Thanks for the pic Grub, those racks look pretty tight, the top one would take some getting in to especially with those uprights at the front-it shows what’s possible for sure. I like the idea of the storage also,it makes use of all the space. It makes sense to be able to roll over,it would also...

    7 man caravan

Back in what must have been the early eighties I was invited to stay aboard HMS Yarmouth by a family friend, a crew member, Brian Jones.I was about 10 or 11. It was a family open day type of thing but we got to stay a couple of nights on board the ship. I remember vaguely most of it-there was...

I’m looking forward to wiring my utility trailer as it will mean I’m nearing the end of my build, but auto electrics have never been something I understand much,so thanks guys for the info !

Portable power station to power trailer systems??

Thanks for sharing your build Grub. Im trying to understand lithium battery tech a bit more. I think your battery is a probably a single cell 12v unit? Having watched a few solar generator strip down videos,it seems most off the shelf generators use multiple cells joined together. the cells...

Portable power station to power trailer systems??

Do you have charge regulators in your unit for mains and solar ? Also your inverter sounds like it’s external to the tote also?
