Honestly I usually bring 2.5-5 gal. I only use it for the wife's coffee, dishes and drowning fires lol. I'm not a big water drinker, other than propel.
I'll probably get another dometic 2.5tank and that'll do me for vast majority of trips
Awesome Job! I built a trailer last year but went with cargo and RTT, I should have gone Square drop... BUT, the one thing I did do right was make the whole thing bolt to the frame, so I could unbolt it and start over LOL (my wife would kill me)
Ugh I wish I could, but I have a wedding I'm being dragged to. At least it's not during football season (it's bad enough I have to decide between football and camping lol)
I've done section 8 only and Camping was plenty. I can send you a couple spots we camped at. but I do know that the last part into Wallace of section 7 is closed right now, they had a massive slide on the Moon Pass route... there are some routes around but I couldn't name them. but you should...
Also, if you enter the park before like 6am(I think that's the time) you don't need one, or at least that's what I was told by the ranger last year (we arrived literally the first day of the vehicle reservations and had no idea, but couldn't burn another day to enter before 6)
When in July are you picking up Mammoth? We have a group trip the 19th-21st leaving CDA and going to polebridge (Friday night camp at blue lake, Saturday night camp will be on the flathead River). We'll post the rally point in the coming week. Our group ran it last year and it was definitely a...

At this point, is everyone planning on leaving at 1230 Friday? it's 4hrs from our meeting point (Pilot Travel Center off 90, 10506 W...
That's awesome and some great info. I'll definitely be looking at my route and seeing what I can incorporate. shouldn't be super tight on time, but as I'm sure you know, time tables can quickly get out of whack with a group. let alone any recoveries or breakdowns.
THANK YOU!
Yes please send me any waypoints and recommendations.
that by pass is that bypassing Baby Head Hill?
I'm planning on camping right on the ridge, either at that first wide area, or up and around so we're on the ridge but facing west (for sunset) I remember there being several areas up there...
Yes! I love my trailer for what it is and what is capable of (and especially that I built it) but I hate taking it tight now, because I haven't built out the inside and so it's all super disorganized and I rarely fill up more than 1/2 unless I'm bringing firewood. So I end up with the mindset...
