I am looking for some good areas to go overland camping for a couple test runs. Anyone know of any good ones? I am not looking to camp. I am looking for trails and parks we can stay in. Just got back from Portsmouth Island and had a great time. Looking for more.

I finally am in the final stages of getting StarGazer ready for this east coast trip to NewYork DC and the outer banks. Follow us on our first overland adventure. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram.

I am using a Canon M50 Mirrorless camera. I know some of these are not overlanding but i plan on getting some good photos come our trip to the outer banks in our bronco sport.

So this is where you get the permit to drive on the beach. Cape Lookout National Seashore Orv Permits, Cape Lookout National Seashore - Recreation.gov 25 bucks good for 1 year.

not sure i will be working on this. I have the baby Bronco with the Outer Banks package and i think it would be cool to take her out to the area that she was designed to be used at.

***UPDATE**** I found a place on Portsmouth Island that looks like you can beach camp and drive on it. This is more a secluded area and will require ferry transport to the island.

I am looking for a beach area where we can camp for the night in the Outer Banks area. I have seen people do it but i have not been able to find areas on where I can actually do this. I also know some beaches I will need to get a permit and want to make sure i can get this as well as the ferry...

I am getting ready to head down that way in a few weeks. What are some good placed to be able to camp with my rig on the beach? I am getting all kinds of mixed reports on where.

Thanks for the tip. I did order a tire repair kit as well as some straps and already have the gloves and some other recovery gear. Once the RTT comes in we plan on going out and having some fun. Most of this will be learning as we go.
