I have always stuck with the dry for turboed vehicles and wet (oiled) for n/a vehicles. The nice about oiled is the ability to clean yourself. I have a k&n in my stock airbox but I do carry the factory paper filter with me as a spare for just in case.
If you want a cold air intake, I would do...
If that sheet you got isn't to your liking you can try going to a lumber yard and getting a sheet of door skin. It is as the name implies the skin on a door like your bedrooms. Very thin and easy so manage curves. We used to use this in set design alot because of weight and curves. Usually you...
I hear ya on the patients, not really a strong suit of mine (hell not even a weak one, it just not there lol). It took along time for me to find the right shell for my truck ( I was also looking for a pretty specific set up). I cam close to just bitting the bullet and buying new, but one day...
For now mult rig is relatively stock. Only mods so far are communication, storage ( camper shell) and convenient things (window visors, interior storage/organization, phone mounts , etc.)
2 things I do not skimp out on are suspension and tires. These two things can make you love or hate your...
I have asked a similar question myself. For me with bad back and shoulder the last few times we tent camped it did not end well for me lol. We decided to go with a trailer but due to family interest we went with a Fleetwood evo2. Much more comfort and convenient then tent set up but that comes...
I would suggest waiting till after they come out. Wait till you know they will be good. From what I know they will have the eco diesel in them and that is a good motor if you don't do too much city driving. For the emissions equipment to work properly it needs to be driven on the highway for a...
+1 go take it out on even a day trip on some trails just to get a feel for it. I checked Craigslist everyday for months before I found my shell on my truck. Best advice I can give is know what you want and what you want from the truck and don't cut corners in palaces you don't want to. I would...
Also you can swap a motor that is same type (diesel to diesel , gas to gas) same model year or newer. There are some hoops to jump through to get a bar sticker for it but not too bad. Other wise I would say stick to something you know you want that had a decent factory drive train. Welcome to...
Welcome. Hope you and family will he safe. Mine are on Maui in the haiku area hoping the projections for it to turn are right. Anyways welcome to the community.
No worries. I would also add try to use lift coils for the rear. If you want to use spacers for the coils I urge anyone to use limiting straps. I have seen it happen to many times that at full droop the coil slipps out of place. Not a day breaker but annoying to say the least.
Wow. Yeah I can only imagine, I have 17k on mine and they already don't look happy. They just need to last till I can do my lift, wheels and tires. It is amazing how junky factory tires are now a days from pretty much all manufacturers.
I would suggest that if you plan to get this lift, look into some upper control arms. The Rams are known to pop ball joints even at stock heights. I have thought of this lift and some aspects I like and others I don't. But one thing is for sure that if you lift a ram 1500 and plan to do even...
This made me laugh because my rx7 (fc) is what made me start doing the exact same thing. I had always had logs and receipts for everything else with prior cars and trucks. But the FC is what made me start logging my fuel. And to this day I still do it.
