I recently put an RTT on my trailer and tried it for the first time a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if it's my most preferred but I certainly had a good time with it for a few nights. I'm going again next weekend and am looking forward to it.
Same here. We need to organize a flea market. Years ago a bunch of us with extra British car parts in our garages did just that. It was 1978 and, notwithstanding COVID, it's been held every year since!
I needed a couple of stainless steel bowls and all I could find at the time was sets of 4. I went for 2 dog food bowls ... the kind that rest inside a plastic holder, one for food and one for water. I laugh every time my wife and I have breakfast when camping and she has no idea why. I'll...
I haven't updated this thread in quite a while. As mentioned above the original trailer took quite a turn as its build and use changed primarily due to my wife wanting to go camping too. I'm using it for solo trips and we're using the "tear pop" for trips together. I didn't photo-doc the...
I'll turn 70 this yr. and I tried an RTT for the first time just this past weekend. I didn't plan to get one but couldn't pass up a good deal. I mounted it on top of my trailer so it's only at "half height".
I was pleasantly surprised. I had no issues with getting in or out or with changing...
Period correct stickers are kind of neat. I put this one on my 1989 Jeep XJ. Both have been out of production for decades. I got lucky and found a new one at a flea market.
@TheMigPicture & @C&D Dowdall if you're not already aware of this group you might find this link interesting - (1) OverlandNTH | Facebook . There's a big event coming up on the first weekend of June. I can't make it do to another group camping event on the same weekend but will try to make...
After saying I never would I bought a RTT. I got it used and inexpensively enough that I thought I'd give it a try. It might be for sale next year ... we'll see.
That's what I do too. A 27 litre Rubbermaid trash can fits nicely and even when empty makes a Trasheroo look full. It's a lot easier to put things in and take them out.
Thanks! I'd like to help but unfortunately at my age it seems like everything I do is a rush! I have way too many projects on the go and just hope I can find the time to enjoy them.
Be careful. I've created my own junk yard doing things like that! I really like what you're doing with this and it matches your tow vehicle perfectly.
I wasn't crazy about the cost of the swing arm carriers either so I made my own. It's a little further along than what's shown in these pics and it's almost ready for paint. The key to making it wiggle free was to make a sliding wedge lock that fits into the 2" receiver. I'm also almost...
I agree. Their products are very well made. I have ATG's 5 lb. propane tank bag and it's tough. Nice guy to deal with too.

Welcome from Newmarket.
Overland North may be of some interest to you. There's an event at Clearview on the first weekend of June and another one in mid September (not sure of the location).

Nice job overall. I just picked up a 2005 WK and am sorting out what to do with it. Among other things the storage compartment where the spare used to be is a great idea.
