Welcome, @Waka! I knew we'd get you on here at some point! I encourage you to consider creating a built thread documenting your trailer build. I think a bunch of people here would be interested in seeing how it was built and watching it evolve as the suspension work continues!
As for the Southern Area Meetup in Northwest Tucson, the first one is next Thursday, March 21st from 6-8pm.
The rally point information is here: Southern Arizona Overlanders Recurring Monthly Meetup
We will focus attention on getting a regular recurring Phoenix area meetup off and running soon!
I'm not sure about %25, but code NOMAD will get you %20 off.
Join us EVERY 3RD THURSDAY at the Button Brew House (6800 N Camino Martin, Tucson, AZ) to talk about adventuring over some delicious Tucson craft beer. The meetup is a general social event to talk about overlanding and maybe even plan some trips. Some months there may be a topic or speaker...
Ah bummer! I'll reach out next time i'm headed down across the border. We try to adventure in Mexico every few months at least. Give a holler if you are ever across the border in Southern Arizona as well! We can show you lots of neat places
Welcome! I'm down in Tucson and we head out adventuring pretty regularly (Just got back from a 4-day along the Sonora, MX coast this weekend). As @AZ_4Runner mentioned, the Arizona Overlanders thread is kinda the main hub of networking/planning for Arizona OBers. We have a really strong and...
Yep! I believe we'll have a booth there again this year as in years past. We also tried to have an Overland Bound area in the on-site camping last year which worked out pretty great.
You'll have a blast, it's a really fun event, lots of great people to share ideas with, and lots of amazing rigs...
Welcome, I'm over in Arizona! Come say hi in the Oklahoma Overlanders, Where ya at? thread! Let's see some photos of your rig and trailer! I love seeing build threads of home-brew trailers
Before this thread gets too far off-topic, the bottom line is this: Overland Bound does not condone illegal use or modification of equipment, just as we don't condone illegal use of land. All members are expected to operate within the law while attending any Overland Bound functions, events...
Yes, we can still use 146.46, with some caveats, here's my take:
First, here's the full band plan doc, including the second page that was omitted from the attachments in the post above: http://www.tasma.org/TASMA-2m-Band-Plan.pdf
I would think that as long as you are not using a CTCSS/DCS tone...
Welcome! I also have a 2016 Rubicon, it's a fantastic rig!
Check the Overland Bound U.S. East Region forum section and the East Region Rally Points to connect directly with members and events in your area.
Welcome from Arizona! Check out the Southwest region section of the forums, there are quite a few Texans who are members. I believe @Jeff Graham is still in the Austin area and may have some information about groups in the area
