Already sold the whole Jeep, but I kept the roof rack (for sale), winch, and a couple other little things. I was banned from working on it any more at the end. :)
Yeah those things are ridiculous. I remember wrestling with my rear ones. I ended up just leaving them in and sealing them with silicone.

I've also owned two other Toyota 4x4 trucks, and always missed them deep down. Now that they make the nice four door models with nice off road packages, I figured what the hell. [emoji106][emoji106]

It was the cooling system again. I've replaced every piece of it at least three times (including the heater core). Overheated again on the way to meet a client, and I just made the decision. Loved building and driving the Jeep, but I need something that I don't have to mess with (unless I want...
Man I wish there were places to drive and camp on the beach here in the SE US. There's St Augustine and a few near there, but it's just driving, no trails or anything like that. And no camping.
Looks like a fun time out there! A 4WD course on the beach looks like fun!

I went on a little getaway with my wife for her birthday. Being Memorial Day, it was crowded everywhere, but we had fun just exploring and doing nothing alone without the kids.
Rode up to Dillard, GA and into NC. Stayed in Dillard Saturday night. Then Sunday we found a couple forest service...
Bought this on eBay a while back with the hopes of installing it in my 99 XJ, but never got around to it. It's from a ZJ (the original XJ one attached to the visors). People say you can install this in the XJ though. There are a few articles about it. Supposedly the wires and harness are in the...
I'm selling the roof rack that was on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ. It's an awesome full length aluminum Surco rack, with a flooring kit and four gutter mounts per side (very sturdy rack and mounting system). If you were to buy this exact rack from amazon now (as I did), it would be about $700. I'm...
Welp, that was it. As posted elsewhere, the Jeep died and left me stranded one time too many. I broke down (literally :laughing:) and got a 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. I'll start another build thread for it later on. Thanks for watching my build!
No way, it's good to know what to look for. We gotta look out for each other! [emoji106][emoji106]

Cool. I haven't experienced that yet, but I'll be aware. I'm on reddit more than anything else, and the only complaints I heard there was that tall people don't fit well. I'm 5'9" so no problems there! Everything else I read there was positive for the 2016's. Haven't looked on the other yota...
I live in N Ga, and I'm always riding around Cohutta. I wrote this thread which details a nice horseshoe track with GPS files as well. Have fun on your June trip!
The old Jeep stranded me again. Cooling system again (I've replaced every piece of the cooling system on that thing at least 3 times). I couldn't deal with it anymore. So...
I went out and bought this fella yesterday! It's so freaking rad. I've never had a new vehicle before. I am stoked to say...
That's really cool. Commanders are really cool vehicles. Love that head unit too. Hey did all your interior door handles break at some point? My brother's have.

My Jeep Build
Welp, the bumper went on relatively painlessly. Took a couple of hours. No directions with it, so figuring out which bolts went where was annoying, but not bad. Got the bumper on, then moved right onto putting together and mounting the winch (9.5k Smittybilt XRC).
Once that was done, I...
