Found this little guy, freed it and he ran away with a sore leg, but no obvious damage, joined up with his ma and sibbling soon after.
Finally, got a hard time from the Southern cousins about our ketchup flavored potato chips, but then found these at the...
Had a good run down to SD and the Black Hills to do a mix of offroading, touring and hanging out with some good folks with the Dakota Territory Cruisers.
Breakdown, day 1 travel from MB Canada to Deadwood, SD, Day 2 ran the Iceman trail(fairly challenging) got some use out of the skid plates...
FWIW, I have the 65qt with insulated jacket. I can run it for ~3 days in the summer before the battery(yellow top) starts to lug while starting. I've had it for 5 years with minimal complaint. The only thing I don't like is the side handles can pop out if you carry it around a lot with stuff in...
Had a great trip, did a circle of the Ring Road. as well as East and West Fjords, Diamond circle, Lake Myvatn, and Northen most point. Didn't ever get dark, so no Northern lights for us. There is no shortage of spectacular waterfalls and views. I had trouble trimming down my actual photo album...

Hey all, just got back from 2 weeks in Iceland. Went counter-clockwise around the ring road, with a few detours. 4500km in our rented Hyundai Tuscon. It was hard to trim down pictures to a manageable level, but here are a few to give you a taste.

I've been using a Canon SX120 for point and shoot, although I recently killed it trying to get dust out from behind the lenses, so I've ordered a newer SX150. I like the convenience of carrying camera equipment that fits in a pocket, uses standard AA batteries, and has some optical zoom(the...
Part of the "attitude" is why I am not a regular on expedition portal. While I love the site and some of the cool trips and info passed around, it has an elitist feel to it. How many threads there have a killjoy posting how someone's trip isn't an expedition because an expedition is for the...
