We ran the entire DBBB loop in my TJ on 32” ATs last fall with minimal hiccups. As with anything, keep an eye on weather conditions and bring a buddy. Also be prepared for pinstriping.
thanks for putting this together Devildodge. We camped/explored Allegheny NF last fall and loved it so Bald Eagle and surrounding areas are next on my list.
TJ Wrangler- 32” ATs, limited slip rear, winch, etc. Hoping to have my off-road trailer drivable by summer as well.
I’m free most weekends...
unfortunately the East coast is severely lacking compared to the west and most of the off-roading is contained in private parks, not exactly what you’d consider overlanding. Saying that, there is some decent overlanding in WV, KY, and PA if you don’t mind the 4-5 hour drive. I’d recommend the...
For some reason the OB app on my phone keeps denying my login. If anyone wants to meet up for a ride over next couple weeks shoot me an email dparsons7060@gmail.com
I’m getting the same message, have been for about a week. Tried to follow the link above but being denied access. Too hard to use web version on my phone so I guess I’m comms out indefinitely. Sucks.
Made it out to Southington offroad on Saturday with a buddy of mine in his jku. GF peer pressured me into attempting this mud hole which ended in a fried starter.
Removed, disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled starter tonight and to my surprise it worked! Saved myself $160 and learned a...
Southington Offroad in Garrettsville Ohio. I think it’s 1500 acres of old strip mines to play around in. You might want to consider joining Mojo, they are down your way and do monthly trail rides and a ton of other events.
This map shows all the paved sections. Take the difficulty ratings with a grain of salt because the map was made for adventure bikes. You can definitely fill two days worth, especially if you stop to enjoy some of the creek crossings, make a side stop to hike natural bridge state park, and check...
Shouldn’t have any problems clearance wise, expect some pinstriping.
It’s recommended to run the trail counterclockwise starting at the blue iron bridge east of the Nada Tunnel. The avenza map details this really well.
We stayed in an A frame outside of Slade but there were tons of...
Dave, I completed the DBBB in its entirety in two days last fall and didn’t feel pressed for time in the least. What vehicle are you taking? I did it in a tj wrangler, 3” lift, 32” ATs, limited slip rear.
Couple thoughts in no particular order-
-northern end will probably be extremely muddy...
