Several of the guys in my local Jeep group have run Federal Couragia M/T's. I have not yet but they all swear by them for the money.

My Jeep loaded down gets about 13-15 while off-road. That's about 300 off-road miles. Another 10 gallons would extend that to 450 off-road miles. That's quite a distance off grid.
If your rig gets similar mileage this should be a good guideline for you.

Several replies stating uphill traffic has the right of way. What has me confused is the trail guidelines for Black Bear Pass in CO states downhill has right of way. Is it possible that it's all dependent on the trail? That would require you to get familiar with trail rules prior to the trip. I...
This was from the FB page. It looks like there are a few that are attending so we will see. I am not opposed to meeting more informally sooner than that.
All painted and ready to reassemble. I used bedliner on the handle for added grip. I think this should last me a few years before any major work needs to be done.

Thanks. It works well for me and my needs. I'm still working on finding gear boxes that'll sit the way I want them to.
My lab hated my car and didn't care much for my wife's Honda Pilot. She LOVES the Jeep though. It's safe to say she's a Jeep dog.

Started work on the Hi Lift jack today. I haven't decided where to mount it yet but I have time. Right now I'm cleaning it up and painting it so the rust is gone.

Worked on cleaning and painting an old Hi Lift jack I picked up for CHEAP.
I will start painting sometime this weekend and hopefully all will be good for another decade or so. I'm in it for about $30 so far.

This would make for some great designations for overlanding/road trips. Do you have any that you'd recommend? Maybe some that are in the Colorado or Utah area?
The main page has a video and some information on using Google Earth as a tool. I have some routes that I have downloaded into it and have been able to export them to Google Maps and save them for offline use. I would be happy to share what I have so far.
Welcome sir! I am SURE that you will get some questions from other Rover lovers. If I owned one I would take advantage of your offer so I will bet other will too.
Welcome! Very nice XJ. It looks like you have a great platform to start with. I used to build my cars for performance also so I can relate. Now that I am older I prefer a different kind of performance from my rig. I can't wait to see what else you'll get done to it.
