Look at Bankhead forest, plenty of back roads and camping spots. here is a drive a came up with to take you thru part of bankhead, not any offroad type stuff just dirt/gravel roads. But explore some of the side roads and it can get interesting
It is very comfortable, but keep in mind I am a carrying a Ruger LCP in it. It doesn't bother you driving or hiking is what I like, a larger frame gun might be a different story .
